Duchess Kate And Prince William: Family Life During Lockdown

Hey there! Let's take a peek into the life of Duchess Kate and her family as they navigate these challenging times. When the weather outside turns cold or wet, Kate joins her kids in their brand-new "dance studio" at Anmer Hall, their country home. It wasn’t always a dance studio—it was a DIY project that brought the family together. A close friend told Closer Weekly, “It was a fun project that everyone got involved in. There are mini yoga mats, blocks, and kids’ exercise games in the studio now.”

Adapting to Life During Lockdown

Like many families around the world, Kate and Prince William have had to adjust to working, homeschooling, and keeping their kids entertained during these unusual times. It hasn't been easy, especially with the heartbreak of losing their beloved dog Lupo in November. But, according to a friend, "Kate and William are embracing this time together as a family rather than seeing it as a negative." They're finding joy in the little things and cherishing every moment with their children.

A Day in the Life

On weekdays, Kate, 39, and William, 38, continue their charitable work remotely while their nanny, Maria Borrallo, handles the children's online schooling. Prince George, 7, is thriving in his science classes. "He's fascinated by the solar system and dreams of becoming both an astronaut and a king," says the friend. His sister, Princess Charlotte, 5, is equally bright. Alongside George, she’s learning Spanish with Maria, who hails from Spain. But Charlotte's true passion lies in ballet. "She’s such a creative little girl who adores the arts," shares the friend.

Little Prince Louis, 2, was all set to start nursery school, but those plans are on hold. "Kate and William are disappointed, as they believe it’s crucial for Louis to socialize with other children his age," explains the friend. Luckily, the siblings get along wonderfully. "George loves being the big brother and spends hours reading to Louis," says the friend.

    Celebrating Birthdays in Style

The trio planned a memorable birthday bash for Kate's 39th birthday on January 9. "Birthdays are a big deal for them," says the friend. "They crafted handmade birthday cards, and William helped them bake and decorate a cake." Charlotte even pulled out her karaoke machine to serenade her family with a solo version of "Happy Birthday."

Though William and Kate occasionally feel the pinch of these unusual times, they’re thankful for their strong, healthy marriage. "They’ve spent more time together than ever before. Sure, they bicker over little things, but their arguments are short-lived," says the friend. "Kate is more stubborn than William, but she’s reasonable. She just needs some time to cool off, and William understands that."

While date nights are on hold, the couple still finds ways to connect. "They try to have dinner alone once a week or go for a walk to keep their bond strong," says the insider. Kate, in particular, is enjoying this time away from London. "She prefers country life—it feels more normal to her," says the friend.
