Traffic star James Brolin recently shared how the coronavirus pandemic has brought him and his wife, Barbra Streisand, even closer together. The two are quarantining in their stunning Malibu, California home, making the best of this challenging time.
James Brolin's Take on Quarantine Life
James, known for his role in Traffic, spoke exclusively to Closer Weekly, gushing about the silver lining of the pandemic. “I’m incredibly fortunate because my entire family is so loving,” he said. “I’m really enjoying this time with my wife, and she feels the same way! We’re so grateful to have each other, and we’ve always had a great relationship.”

Learning More About Each Other
Being in quarantine has allowed James and Barbra to deepen their bond. “It’s made us communicate much more openly and lovingly than ever before,” James, 80, explained. “We’ve been able to talk about things we might have put off before.” Thanks to marriage counseling, they’ve learned when to take a break if they ever find themselves in a disagreement. “At any time, we know to step away, go into another room, breathe, and do something else. And then when we come back, it’s like nothing ever happened — and it works beautifully!” the Westworld actor added.

Life in Quarantine
While James and Barbra, 78, are enjoying their time in quarantine, they are fully aware that others are having a much tougher experience. Living “90 feet above the ocean,” they often step outside to enjoy the sunshine and each other’s company. “We go out there, and it’s like being on a cruise ship!” James exclaimed. “We look at each other and smile, saying, ‘It’s so hard for so many people, and it’s difficult to say it’s hard for us. We’re just so lucky.’”
As the world waits for the pandemic to end, James continues to indulge in one of his favorite pastimes: online shopping. Recently, he purchased a “wonderful Porsche in the Ozarks.” However, with some U.S. cities still under lockdown, he has no place to drive it. So, for now, James is content enjoying his time at home with Barbra.
What a lucky guy, indeed.
